Xinjiang shines at the 2024 London World Travel Market

The “Xinjiang is a good place” booth at the 2024 London World Travel Market (WTM), which will be held at the Royal Victoria Harbour in London, seeks to highlight the region”s tourism allure while nurturing cross-cultural exchanges and collaborations between Xinjiang, China, and Europe.

This initiative, led by Guli Abulimu, the Director of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Xinjiang, aims to boost Xinjiang’s appeal to European tourists and foster lasting partnerships in the tourism sector.

Leaders and guests from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Chinese Embassy in the UK and various tourism industries in the UK visited the “Xinjiang is a good place” booth.

During a cordial exchange, they discussed the current status and demands of the tourism sector in Xinjiang, exchanging insights and suggestions on firsthand travel experiences with British visitors.

The intangible cultural heritage, literary and creative products, and tourism brochures showcased at the Xinjiang booth captivated numerous international exhibitors, immersing visitors in the allure of Xinjiang. The Xinjiang representative presented the region’s abundant and diverse tourism resources to global exhibitors, engaging in proactive discussions with international tourism enterprises and professionals from diverse nations. Their enthusiasm and keen interest in Xinjiang’s tourism offerings sparked collaborative efforts to further enhance the region’s appeal.

The Xinjiang group tailored routes and products for diverse international tourists at the exhibition. They hosted a “Xinjiang is a good place” cultural and tourism promotion event.

Promotional tourism films presenting Xinjiang’s natural scenery, historical and cultural heritage, and vibrant folk customs were featured for guests.

The Xinjiang promoter introduced various travel routes and unique tourism products, including the north-south Xinjiang tour, food tour, adventure tour, and more, offering guests a diverse range of options. The Xinjiang delegation also issued coupons for hotel tickets, scenic spots and ski resorts in Xinjiang to the participating guests.

The London World Travel Market 2024 at Exeter Pavilion has bolstered Xinjiang’s global tourism presence, fostering international exchanges and elevating Xinjiang’s appeal. This event signifies a crucial step towards enhancing Xinjiang’s cultural and tourism sectors.

Xinjiang’s showcase will run throughout the fair from November 5 to 8, offering visitors a chance to immerse themselves in a global tourism experience.
