Did someone say the season has started for college basketball?
Well, it started earlier this week, but there was already some drama to start out the season on Friday night.
Auburn was on a team plane set to travel to Houston for their matchup with the Cougars on Saturday. However, when the plane took off, it had to turn around 45 minutes into the flight.
Jeff Goodman of The Field of 68 reported that there was “horseplay between players on the flight that could have escalated into a fight.”
Goodman later went on to say a source told him that there was an argument going on.

Goodman added that Auburn is still expected to go to Houston on Friday but on a different flight.
Jonathan Hardison, an anchor and reporter for FOX6 WBRC, reported that they obtained audio from the flight, and what they heard appeared to be a fight between several players.
NEW: Flight that appears to be the Auburn men’s basketball team heading to Houston diverted back to Auburn this afternoon. Air Traffic Control audio we’ve obtained shows a pilot in that airspace telling ATC “we have a bunch of basketball players fighting”

With only a week into the college basketball season, it will be interesting to see if the storylines can continue like they did this past week.
Nonetheless, Auburn is still expected to play against Houston on Saturday night at the Toyota Center at 9:30 PM ET on ESPNU.
