Liverpool are reeling from the loss of Trent Alexander-Arnold to an injury blow with the right-back going off against Aston Villa in the Premier League at Anfield on Saturday night.
The 26-year-old went down in the 25th minute during the game against Unai Emery’s side, looking uncomfortable before making his way slowly to the sidelines.
Arne Slot shot Trent a concerned look as the defender walked straight down the tunnel.
Conor Bradley, a capable deputy, was summoned to replace the England international in the Liverpool backline.
It’s currently unknown what the exact issue is but it was revealed a couple of weeks ago that Liverpool were managing Trent through an injury sustained on international duty with England.
Trent was again named in the squad for the Three Lions’ upcoming Nations League games against Greece and Ireland by interim manager Lee Carsley but he will surely be unavailable for those fixtures.
