I am at a loss for words. This, admittedly, is not an ideal place to begin a sports column, but Rutgers star freshman Ace Bailey is going to test our descriptive capabilities during his first (and likely only) season of college basketball.
The moment that has stretched the limit of available adjectives came nine minutes into his debut on Friday night. The shot clock was running down at Jersey Mike’s Arena, and with a turnover looking likely for the Scarlet Knights against Monmouth, the five-star recruit caught a desperate pass behind the 3-point line.
