The Buffalo Sabres are looking to add to their forward group. When looking at their current roster, it is clear that they could use another top-six winger.

Because of this, the Sabres should keep a close eye on Nashville Predators winger Gustav Nyquist in the trade market this season.
After making several big moves this past off-season, the Predators have a 5-10-3 record. If they do not get things back on track, they will likely be sellers this season. If they become sellers, Nyquist would likely be made available, as he is in the final season of his contract.
Nyquist showed last season that he could be a significant difference-maker when playing at his best. In 81 games in 2023-24, he had 23 goals and set new career highs with 52 assists and 75 points. In addition, he has scored at least 20 goals five times in his career, so he can put the puck in the net.
Nyquist has had mixed results early on this season with the Predators, posting five goals and eight points in his first 18 games. However, when looking at how much he dominated last season, he undoubtedly has the potential to heat back up. Thus, he could be a nice target for the Sabres to consider.
