What has gotten into Iowa women’s basketball player Addison O’Grady?
The Hawkeyes post player has been nearly unstoppable recently.
In Iowa’s victory over Virginia Tech last Sunday (Nov. 10), O’Grady scored 18 points on 9-of-9 shooting.
In a victory over Toledo on Wednesday, O’Grady finished with 10 points on 3-of-5 shooting. She was 4-of-4 from the free-throw line.
Sunday at Drake, O’Grady started red-hot again, making her first eight shots for 16 early points.
O’Grady, a 6-foot-4 senior from Aurora, Colo., has averaged 3.7 points per game during her Hawkeye career. She’s the latest Jan Jensen success story − the Hawkeyes’ head coach is widely considered one of the nation’s best at developing post players.
UPDATE: Through three quarters, O’Grady leads Iowa with 24 points on 12-of-17 shooting. She also leads the Hawkeyes with seven rebounds.
