Gonzaga has had as explosive of a start to the season as any college basketball team could have imagined.
The Bulldogs defeated Baylor, 101-63, in a top-10 matchup on opening night. The team followed that with a victory against Arizona State.
Gonzaga has since risen to No. 4 in the country after earning the sixth spot in the preseason AP poll. Next up is San Diego State for the team’s first road matchup of the season.
Khalif Battle leads the team in scoring with 17.3 points per game, but he has four teammates also in double figures. Braden Huff (16.0), Nolan Hickman (13.3), Graham Ike (11.7) and Ryan Nembhard (10.7) are all major contributors.
Nembhard is also averaging 10.0 assists per game, and Michael Ajayi is tallying 8.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.
This Gonzaga team is deep and has been especially impressive to start the season. San Diego State will look to take the Bulldogs down while maintaining their own undefeated start.
