Inter star Thuram uninterested in Liverpool transfer – report

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Liverpool have set their sights on Inter star Marcus Thuram, but the France international is uninterested in a move to Anfield: ‘I love San Siro.’

Premier League giants Liverpool are interested in Inter striker Thuram, but the French striker is not considering leaving the Nerazzurri anytime soon, according to Gazzetta.

The pink paper claims that the Reds have been following Thuram for a long time and were interested in the 27-year-old even with Jurgen Klopp in charge.

Thuram joined Inter on a free transfer in the 2023 summer transfer window and won the Serie A title in his first season at the Stadio Meazza.

He’s one of Serie A’s best scorers this term, with seven goals in 12 league matches.

His contract at San Siro expires in June 2028 and includes an €85m release clause. Despite that, his recent claims after France’s 3-1 win over Italy in Milan suggest he’s not interested in leaving his current club.

“I love this stadium, I love San Siro,” Thuram said in the mixed zone after the match, as quoted by Gazzetta.

“The game against Italy was strange for me. I played against my brothers, which was very strange, but I love all of them, and I was happy to cross paths with them.”
