Hellas Verona Sporting Director Open To Selling Inter Milan Linked Rising Star: “In January We Will Evaluate What’s Best For Him”

Hellas Verona sporting director Sean Sogliano admits Inter Milan transfer target Reda Belahyane could depart the club this winter.

In his recent interview during the Gran Galà del Calcio Italiano via FCInterNews, Sogliano addressed the youngster’s future.

Belahyane joined Verona from OGC Nice in January 2024.

However, he failed to secure regular first-team football during his first season in Serie A.

Paolo Zanetti’s appointment in the summer has turned his fortunes around.

Indeed, the 20-year-old has established himself as a permanent first-team fixture under the Italian coach.

Belahyane has made 11 league appearances this season, tallying two assists.

And his meteoric rise at Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi hasn’t gone unnoticed.

In addition to Inter, AC Milan are also keen on the prodigious midfielder, who could depart Verona in January.

Asked whether Verona will keep their prized asset in January, Sogliano replied: “We will see.

“If it were up to me, I’d keep everyone, but there are circumstances beyond the club’s control.

“In January, we’ll discuss what’s best for him and the club.

“He’s not an easy player to replace, but these decisions also rest with the president.”

Sogliano didn’t just hail Belahyane’s qualities. He also admitted the club will listen to offers for their highly-rated youngster.

“He’s a very talented player, and if offers come in, we’ll carefully evaluate them,” he admitted.

Considered among Serie A’s finest talents, Belahyane has a bright future.

However, he cannot fulfill his potential at Verona.

Inter would be a perfect place for him to continue his development.

Indeed, Simone Inzaghi has proved well-versed in establishing youngsters during his coaching career.

But the Nerazzurri may need to act quickly to secure Belahyane’s signature.

Despite landing Youssouf Fofana in the summer, Milan are in the market for a new midfielder.

Belahyane has caught Geoffrey Moncada’s eye, meaning we could witness a transfer tug-of-war in January.
