Golden Knights Welcome Back Only NHL Player To Win Two Stanley Cups In Vegas

Date:

LAS VEGAS — “He’s the only player in the NHL to win a Stanley Cup twice inside T-Mobile Arena.”

If Jeopardy ever wants to use a Vegas Golden Knights category on its game board, Chandler Stephenson will be the perfect answer.

The former Golden Knights returned to Vegas for the first time since signing with Seattle during the offseason and was welcomed with raucous applause from the packed house.

“I think it’s good obviously to be recognized,” Stephenson said when asked about the tribute video earlier in the day. “The time that I spent here, I’m very thankful for it. It gave us two kids and a lot of memories.”

Stephenson won his first Stanley Cup with the Washington Capitals in 2018 on Vegas’ home ice, and then won his second with the Golden Knights in 2023 against the Florida Panthers, also inside T-Mobile Arena.

In 4+ seasons with Vegas, the 30-year-old center registered 237 points in 327 games.

During his time with the Golden Knights, Stephenson played in more regular-season games than anyone else, and his 237 points ranked second on the team.

His 75 goals were third highest on the team while he ranked second with 162 assists. His career-high 65 points came the year he won the Cup with Vegas.

In his first season with the Kraken, Stephenson has three goals and 18 assists in 33 games.
