Referee Antonio Guia has come under fire for making a number of big errors in Inter Milan’s Serie A match against Como.
Italian outlet FCInterNews identify three in particular in what proved to be a night to forget for the official.
Referee Guia was never going to have the easiest of assignments at the San Siro this evening.
Newly-promoted Como looked to press Inter high up the pitch.
Therefore, there were a lot of very physical challenges between the players, and the action was end to end.
However, in the view of FCIN, referee Guia made some notable errors.

The first really notable error from Guia concerned a foul by Inter defender Yann Bisseck on Como’s Andrea Bellotti.
It was clearly a foul, and in the view of FCIN, Guia was right to give a yellow card to Bisseck as the German made little effort to win the ball.
However, Guia blew his whistle far too early. He should have waited to see whether Como would gain an advantage.
Then, there was an incident where Como midfielder Nico Paz very blatantly handled the ball on the edge of his own area.
Guia clearly saw the incident. But he allowed play to continue, as Paz carried the ball up the pitch.
Lastly, FCIN note, Guia did not give a foul for Alberto Dossena’s shirt-pull on Inter captain Lautaro Martinez.
Considering that Martinez would have been through on goal, it could have been a straight red card for Dossena.
