Two people seriously injured in Palm Springs shooting

Date:

Two people were seriously injured during a shooting in a Palm Springs neighborhood late Monday night.

The Palm Springs Police Department responded at 11:59 p.m. to the 1500 block of San Rafael Drive at the north end of the city. Officers found two victims, who were seriously injured but were later reported to be in stable condition.

A third person was also present, but not injured, police said in a news release.

Multiple shots were fired, according to police. One nearby residence was hit, but none of the occupants — who included children — were harmed.

Police said they were investigating the incident as an attempted murder. They had not announced any arrests, nor had they said whether detectives had any suspects.
