Gabe Perreault Starts World Juniors With Epic Performance

Date:

New York Rangers prospect Gabe Perreault started the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship in grand fashion.

Perreault helped lead USA to a dominante 10-4 victory over Germany on Thursday afternoon. The 19-year-old earned Player of the Game honors with two goals and an assist.

He played alongside another top prospect and fellow Boston College teammate James Hagens who raved about his chemistry with Perreault following the game.

“It’s awesome, it’s great being able to come together since we’ve been together since school,” James Hagens said. “The chemistry just floats over here. Those are two guys who are my best buddies, I love those guys.”

The Rangers selected Perreault with the 23rd overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.

Perreault had an impressive freshman season at Boston College last year as he tallied 19 goals, 41 assists and 60 points in 36 games.

Rangers fans should keep an eye out for Perreault through the World Juniors.
