Report: Mike Vrabel’s consulting agreement with Browns expired on Monday

Date:

If the Jets, Saints, or Bears would like to speak with Mike Vrabel about their head coaching vacancy, they can do so now.

Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Vrabel’s consulting agreement with the Browns expired on Monday.

Cleveland and Vrabel likely agreed to this timing so that he could get a head start on interviewing in the 2025 coaching cycle.

Vrabel joined the Browns officially in March after the Titans fired him in January. While he interviewed for multiple head coaching jobs, he did not land one of them.

Vrabel has served in a variety of roles with the Browns, with NFL Media reporting over the weekend that he effectively became the team’s offensive line coach.

Vrabel compiled a 54-45 record with the Titans, coaching the club to a pair of division titles and three total postseason appearances. Tennessee went to the AFC Championship Game in 2019, falling to the eventual Super Bowl champion Chiefs.
