A 3,000 pound wax statue of Abraham Lincoln simply melted down due to this heat that somehow made Lincoln slump into his chair, pictures and video of which instantaneously started pouring in on social media, while netizens claiming that this was the perfect visual depiction of the heatwave rampaging across the country, says a USA Today report.

The non profit organization who was behind the this 6-foot statue’s commission claims that the heatwave has taken a toll on it and although it was expected to stay on for a number of years, this current scenario, has melted the statue by artist Sandy Williams IV, instantly.
