Golf tournament to benefit Joplin Historical Society, museums

Sep. 3—The Missouri Route 66 Golf Classic to benefit the Joplin Historical Society and the Joplin History and Mineral Museum is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 4.

The four-person scramble will be held at Schifferdecker Golf Course. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m., and tee-off will be at 1 p.m.

The tournament will pay cash prizes to three places. There will be a cheer cart and games on the course. Mulligans will be available.

The cost is $100 per player. Participants can register as a team or can be paired at the course on tournament day.

Payments for registration should be made by check payable to Joplin Historical Society. Payments and registration should be submitted by Sept. 30 to P.O. Box 555, Joplin, MO 64802.
