UNC Basketball program to play an exhibition game ahead of the 2024-2025 season

Date:

College basketball season is quickly approaching!

The UNC basketball program announced that they will play an exhibition game against Johnson C. Smith on Sunday, October 27. It will be a 2:00 PM EST tip-off at the Dean Smith Center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

As Brendan Marks noted, Johnson C. Smith has a special meaning for head coach Hubert Davis, given that it is the place where his parents met.

According to the official press release, tickets for the exhibition game will go on sale during the month of October.

The UNC basketball program will use the exhibition game as a tune-up before the 2024-2025 season gets underway on November 4. It will provide Davis the opportunity to see his team in action against another opponent, allowing the Tar Heels to mix-and-match to see which lineups and rotations may work best heading into the new season.

If you already didn’t have a countdown going, you better get one started soon!
