IU basketball recruiting: Hoosiers offer 2026 4-star wing Colben Landrew

Date:

Indiana assistant coach Yasir Rosemond was back in his home state of Georgia on Tuesday, and one player he watched while there was class of 2026 wing Colben Landrew.

Indiana offered Landrew a scholarship that same day.

Landrew is ranked in the top-100 nationally in the junior class at both On3 and 247Sports, where he’s 63rd and 83rd, respectively.

A product of Alabama, Landrew transferred to Wheeler H.S. (Marietta, Ga.) this summer.

He played for Game Elite on the Adidas 3SSB 16U Circuit this spring and summer and averaged 15.1 points per game.  According to Synergy he was the third most efficient player on the 16U Adidas Circuit, producing 1.16 points per possession.

As a sophomore at Thompson H.S. in Alabaster, Ala., Landrew powered the Warriors offense with 15.0 points per game as Thompson made its first Elite Eight since 2013.  He was named second-team All-State.

On film, Landrew looks the part of a strong, physical and athletic wing with impressive shot mechanics.

Landrew’s growing list of offers now include Purdue, Clemson, California, Cincinnati, Arkansas, Florida, Louisville, Wichita State, Alabama, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Auburn, Virginia Tech, Ole Miss and Mississippi State.  He is also a talented wideout on the gridiron with a number of Power Four football offers as well.

Rosemond has had a lot of success bringing players from Georgia to IU.  This year’s roster includes Peach State products Jakai Newton, Myles Rice and Kanaan Carlyle.

Some highlights of Landrew from the summer are below.
