Swing for the Good Golf Scramble raises nearly $11,000

Sep. 12—ELECTRIC CITY — Last weekend’s Swing for the Good Golf Scramble, hosted by Jess Ford at the Banks Lake Golf Course, raised nearly $11,000 for Run the Dam’s fundraising efforts to help build a park in Electric City, Run the Dam Executive Director Kelly Buche said in a release.

The tournament brought in 17 teams for 18 holes of competition on Saturday, with the winning team of 155 Fades Barbershop finishing 13 strokes under par. The team was comprised of Corey Cristman, Bud Seymour, Nate Krohn and Logan Bowman and received four rounds of golf at Gamble Sands in Brewster.

Two teams finished 11 under par, with second place being determined after the team of Mark Piturachsatit, Jeff Piturachsatit, Joey Hendrickson and Randy Friedlander bested the team of John Stensgar, Martin John, Gerald Dick and May Stensgar in a chip-off. Second place received four rounds of golf at Desert Canyon Golf Resort and third received four rounds at Bear Mountain Golf Course.
