FIXTURES: THREE changes for Liverpool in November – including a COLOSSAL Anfield clash

Liverpool’s schedule for November has become clearer following confirmation of new dates and times for three fixtures in the Premier League.

Three of the Reds’ games originally set for that month have been rescheduled, as announced on the club’s official website this afternoon.

The home match against Brighton remains at 3pm on Saturday 2 November, but the following three Premier League fixtures have been adjusted for live TV coverage.

Liverpool’s clash with Aston Villa at Anfield will now kick off at 8pm on Saturday 9 November, a switch from TNT Sports’ usual 12.30pm slot.

Two weeks later, the trip to Southampton has been moved to Sunday 24 November , with a 2pm start, and the home game against Manchester City is set for Sunday 1 December at 4pm. Both of these matches will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

While the 8pm kick-off for the Villa game might not be ideal, the fact that it’s at Anfield will save most local fans from long, late-night travel. Additionally, Liverpool will have an extra day to rest and prepare compared to Aston Villa, with the Reds hosting Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League on Tuesday 5 November while Villa play Club Brugge on Wednesday.

The rescheduling of the Man City game to a Sunday 4pm start also gives Liverpool an extra day to recover from their tough Champions League clash with Real Madrid on 27 November, though it could create a tight turnaround for their midweek trip to Newcastle United at St James’ Park.

The Southampton game on Sunday 24th also marks the start of a demanding four-month stretch, free of international breaks, between mid-November and late March. Liverpool’s fixture list could become even more congested if they make deep runs in domestic cup competitions, as they have in recent seasons.

While there’s a lot of football to come, fans can now begin planning for the first few post-Halloween games, hoping that the team maintains its strong form and Champions League ambitions.
