For a few days you can swing for holes-in-one at home of the Lansing Lugnuts

Date:

Jackson Field is shown in 2016 when its playing surface transformed into a miniature golf course. The stadium will host mini golf on its playing surface for the first time since 2016 this week.

Jackson Field is typically where people swing for home runs.

This weekend, the swings will be geared toward hitting hole-in-ones.

The home of the Lansing Lugnuts will serve as an 18-hole miniature golf course open to the public from Thursday through Sunday. The Lugnuts partnered with Leading Edge Golf and Zap Zone XL for the event.

Head Lugnuts groundskeeper Joe Trautner is the architect for the course that will take over the playing surface at Jackson Field for the first time since 2016.

“The opportunity to see mini golf at the ballpark again was a no-brainer,” said Lugnuts retail director Matt Hicks, who played a role in the stadium bringing the event back. “Here’s another family-friendly event I know everyone will enjoy.”

Rounds cost $5 per person and can be purchased online at milb.com/lansing or the Jackson Field box office during course times. The course will be open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The course will also be open to play during Movie Night at the Ballpark on Saturday evening.
