Renovated Cricket Point set to reopen in Farnworth

The new nets at Cricket Point

Farnworth’s indoor cricket facility, Cricket Point, will be reopening tonight after a huge renovation.

Owner and current Tonge first XI player, Abdullah Ishaq, is delighted with the refurb which now sees all four netted lanes featuring extended run-ups for what he describes as ‘the ultimate bowling experience’.

The centre is a tremendous support for local clubs, and also sponsors the junior section of the North West Cricket League, doing a fine job promoting cricket in the local area.

Over the past three years, the centre, based at Unit 9, Bolton Textile Mill, on Emlyn Street, has been dedicated to supporting the local community through the facility, and Ishaq says he is excited to unveil the newly renovated, state-of-the-art indoor centre.

Tonight’s reopening, at 6.30pm, will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and speeches from key guests.
