Penny Hardaway announces new assistant coaches

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Memphis men’s basketball head coach Penny Hardaway announced two new members of his staff Wednesday.

Mike Davis and Nolan Smith are joining the program as assistant coaches for the 2024-25 season.

Davis joins Memphis after six seasons as head coach of Detroit Mercy.

Smith was most recently assistant coach at Louisville.

The move comes weeks after assistant basketball coaches Rick Stansbury, Faragi Phillips, Jamie Rosser, along with Demetrius Dyson were revealed to no longer be with the staff.

Penny Hardaway is dealing with more shakeups on his Memphis Tigers Basketball staff.
