Here is the latest news and possible return dates for injured Giants players…
Sept. 25, 2:05 p.m.
The Giants will be down two cornerbacks this week.
Big Blue announced Wednesday that Adoree’ Jackson and Dru Phillips will be out for the Giants’ Week 4 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday with calf injuries. Both corners sustained the injury in Sunday’s win against the Cleveland Browns.
The Giants also listed WR Darius Slayton (thumb) as questionable.
Sept. 15, 1:18 p.m.
Giants kicker Graham Gano was injured on Sunday’s opening kickoff against the Washington Commanders, and is officially doubtful to return to the game.
Gano, whose name was added to the Giants’ injury report on Saturday with a groin issue (though he wasn’t given a game designation), was attempting to track down Washington returner Austin Ekeler on the opening kickoff and came up hobbling. To make matters worse, Gano’s efforts were ultimately for naught, as the would-be 98-yard touchdown was called back due to a holding penalty.
With Gano doubtful, it will likely mean that punter Jamie Gillan will need to handle kicking duties as well.
Sept. 12, 1:56 p.m.
Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton, who has been in concussion protocol, is making progress.
Slayton was in a red, non-contact jersey at Thursday’s practice.
If he is unable to play in Week 2 against the Commanders, it could mean more targets for Jalin Hyatt.
Sept. 9, 12:55 p.m.
PR/WR Gunner Olszewski injured his groin during warmups before Sunday’s Week 1 matchup against the Vikings.
The injury to Olszewski is expected to keep him out for “weeks.”
