The luxury cruise line is developing a 150-room hotel in Chile to host clients on its ‘Antarctica Bridge fly-cruise program’.

Silversea’s first ever hotel is due to be completed by the end of 2025
Silversea has confirmed its plans to develop a hotel in the southernmost city on earth, as part of the luxury cruise line’s long term strategy to improve its clients’ experience of its fly-in package to Antarctica.
Located in Puerto Williams, Chile, the 150-room property has been designed to host guests participating in the “Antarctica Bridge fly-cruise program”.
Currently, clients travelling on this route (which skips the Drake Passage by flying directly to the remote continent) are booked into a variety of hotels around the port city before boarding their plane. The introduction of the new Silversea hotel, which is due to be completed at the end of 2025, hopes to simplify the logistics of transferring clients from their base in Chile to the aircraft.

Silversea’s new hotel will overlook the Beagle Channel, the strait from where cruises typically set sail for Antarctica, offering views of the water and the Patagonian mountains. It has also been designed to blend into the surrounding environment by drawing inspiration from local traditional art, architecture, and materials. Inside, guests can expect a large restaurant, bar and lounge, as well as a fitness centre and gift shop selling handicrafts and art by local artisans.
