Everybody loves a game day at home.
The Chicago Blackhawks will play their first home game of the 2024-25 season tonight. They will play their home opener against the visiting San Jose Sharks.
Both teams have had mixed starts in the young 2024-25 season. The Blackhawks come into tonight’s tilt with a 1-2-1 record, while the Sharks sport a winless record of 0-1-2.

The team has hit the ice for morning skate in preparation for tonight. The Blackhawks have made only one change to the forward lines.
Lukas Reichel will make his season debut. He will be on the team’s fourth line along with Patrick Maroon and Craig Smith.
Connor Bedard will center captain Nick Foligno and Teuvo Teravainen. The second line features Philipp Kurashev flanked by Taylor Hall and former Maple Leafs forward Tyler Bertuzzi. Ilya Mikheyev, Jason Dickinson, and Joey Anderson round out the forward group.
Petr Mrazek is the starting goalie for tonight. He comes into the game with a 1-2-0 record, a 2.71 goals against average, and a .911 save percentage.
Teravainen leads the Blackhawks with three goals, while Bedard has five points in four games to be the team’s leading point scorer.
Reichel played 99 games and recorded 32 points in that time. Last year he became a regular contributor for the Blackhawks, dressing for 65 games. He averaged 14:07 of time on ice, along with 16 points.
Tonight’s game begins at 7:30 Central Time.
