The main aim of the evening is to raise funds for mental health services in the county.

Tickets are priced at £15, with a £10 discount for families of four.

The organisers promise a fun-filled evening for all, including cricket enthusiasts and those a bit newer to the sport.

The evening will feature a Masterclass Q&A, where attendees will have the chance to hear insights from Panesar’s cricket career and get tips.

The event will also feature a talk on the links between sport, mental health and well-being.

There will be a raffle with prizes and interactive cricket games for all abilities.

Panesar said: “I’m excited to be part of this innovative ‘Chat & Bat’ event in support of Restore.

“Mental health is something we all need to talk about, and this event brings together two things I’m passionate about – cricket and well-being.

“It’s going to be a fantastic evening, and I can’t wait to meet everyone in Oxford.”

Daisy O’Connor, community and advocacy lead at Oxenford CC, added: “We’re so excited for this event with Restore.

“Monty has been open and outspoken about mental health for years, and at Oxenford we’ve been exploring the positive impact cricket can have on mental wellbeing.

“Sixes is an amazing rooftop venue too, so come along to have some fun, meet Monty, try some cricket, and help us raise money to support Restore’s incredible work in Oxford.”

Daniel Bodycote, events manager at Sixes, said: “We’re excited to host ‘Chat & Bat with Monty’ at Sixes Oxford.

“Sixes brings people together for fun and sport, cricket is for everyone.

“We’re delighted to support great local causes and raise mental health awareness in a welcoming, fun, social environment.”

Libby Peppiatt, Restore chief executive, said: “This event is part of Restore’s ongoing mission to challenge the stigma surrounding mental health and promote well-being through community connections.

“A perfect blend of fun and purpose.

“We’re honoured and thankful to be supported by Monty, Oxenford and Sixes.

“It promises to be a great evening and proceeds will go directly to support Restore’s essential services which help hundreds of individuals every year with their mental health recovery.”

The event will be held at Sixes Social Cricket above John Lewis in the Westgate Centre in Oxford.
