Altercation at Chambersburg Area Senior High School ends homecoming events early

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — What was supposed to be a fun day of events for homecoming took a turn Friday after an altercation broke out at Chambersburg Area Senior High School.

According to a statement from the principal of Chambersburg Area Senior High School, multiple students got into an altercation during events that were happening to celebrate homecoming.

Gettysburg College Incident: No charges filed after N-word etched onto swimmer

School staff and police were able to handle the situation immediately, and there were no weapons involved, according to the statement.

The pep rally was canceled and students had to stay in their homerooms after the incident. Students were dismissed at their normal time.
