Australians can board MSC Magnifica in Melbourne on its 2025 World Cruise before she heads along Australia’s most celebrated coastlines, including maiden calls in Adelaide, Penneshaw for Kangaroo Island, Albany, Busselton and Fremantle.
MSC World Cruise 2025 commences on 4 January in Rome with MSC Magnifica working her way down to the southern hemisphere where she will enjoy an extended tour of New Zealand and Australia from 4 March as one of the last international ship visits to round off the local cruise season.
The newly released World Cruise 2025 segment includes a special 47-night journey departing Melbourne on 18 March 2025 to travel to Civitavecchia (Rome).
She will spend eight days sailing around New Zealand, calling to the Bay of Islands, Auckland, Tauranga, Napier, Christchurch and Dunedin, followed by a sailing through the Milford Sound fjord in the South Island.
MSC Magnifica will then visit Sydney to begin a 19-day sailing calling into Eden, then pickup up passengers in Melbourne, before heading to Adelaide, Kangaroo Island, Albany, Busselton, Perth and Broome.
From Australia, Magnifica will head to the Maldives and Seychelles before stopping in Madagascar, an island famous for its unique wildlife and vibrant ecosystems. MSC Magnifica will then journey along the breathtaking African coastline with its diverse cultures and landscapes before arriving back in the Mediterranean.
Five continents covered
This new Australia segment is part of the MSC Cruises World Cruise 2025 which will see MSC Magnifica take a 120-night voyage around the world visiting 46 destinations across 21 countries and five continents.
“We’re incredibly excited to welcome MSC Magnifica down under for the local cruise season and announce bookings are now open out of Melbourne giving Aussies the chance to experience an MSC Cruises cruise direct from a domestic port,” MSC Cruises’ managing director Australia & New Zealand, Lisa Teiotu.
“These new segments feature a choice of 47-, 49- and 50-night itineraries departing Melbourne and allow our Aussie guests to visit a range of local and global destinations all the way through to Europe without the need to jump on a flight. The holiday starts the minute you set foot onboard.
“Many of our local ports of calls will be seeing an MSC Cruises ship in their waters for the first time so this presents a great opportunity for us to showcase the unique offering of MSC Cruises in this market and the features of the wonderful MSC Magnifica,” she said.
MSC Magnifica offers five restaurants, 13 themed bars and lounges and award-winning MSC Aurea Spa and outdoor pool.
