Bangladesh is taking part in Fashion World Tokyo (FaW) 2024, which takes place at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan, from October 15–17. With a wide range of fashion clothing, bags, shoes, fabrics, leather, accessories, and global sourcing options, this premier trade expo is acknowledged as the biggest event for the Japanese fashion industry.
All of the major countries that export leather and ready-made garments (RMG) participate in the event, with Bangladesh regularly represented through the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB). 19 Bangladeshi businesses in all, including suppliers, buying houses, and manufacturers from the leather and clothing industries, are attending the exhibition for the first time this year.
Shah Asif Rahman, the Bangladesh Embassy’s Chargé d’Affaires in Japan, officially opened the Bangladesh pavilion on Tuesday. On the first day of the expo, he and other embassy representatives went to the Bangladeshi booths and talked to the vendors.
Rahman emphasised the importance of Japan as a profitable market for Bangladeshi goods and encouraged local business owners to step up their efforts to gain market share by launching novel items and catering to the particular tastes of Japanese customers.
