Barcelona pundit makes huge claim about El Clasico – ‘We would beat Real Madrid 5-0’

Date:

Barcelona have made a stunning start to the new season, going on a five-match winning streak in La Liga which has put them at the top of the standings.

Under new manager Hansi Flick, the Blaugrana have put on some top displays, especially in their last two matches against Real Valladolid and Girona, registering statement victories.

Barça have scored the highest number of goals by any team in Europe’s top five leagues thus far and have been sound defensively as well.

Meanwhile, Barça’s arch-rivals and reigning La Liga champions Real Madrid have not had the best of starts to the league campaign.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men have won three of their five games, drawing the other two and as such are four points behind Flick’s team.

Furthermore, their performances have been far from convincing and have had to rely on some amount of luck and questionable refereeing to pick up points.

As such, journalist and pundit Jota Jordi has sensationally claimed that if the Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid was played tomorrow, the Catalans would absolutely smash their rivals and win 5-0.

“If the Clasico was tomorrow, we would beat Real Madrid 5-0,” he said on El Chiringuito TV.

Considering the form and performances that both teams have shown so far this season, it would not be wrong to suggest that Barcelona would have the upper hand over Real Madrid.

The question now is whether Hansi Flick & co. can sustain this level for the rest of the season and reclaim the league title after finishing the last season without any trophy.

As for the Clasico, Barcelona take on Real Madrid away at the Santiago Bernabeu on the weekend of October 26-27, only a few days after they face Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League.

The Catalans beat their bitter rivals 2-1 in pre-season in the USA and will be hoping for a repeat of that result at the Bernabeu.
