The latest addition to the Basketball Champions League universe, collectible cards featuring more than 320 players and ten different categories was officially launched on Monday.
Per the press release: “They say everything is digital nowadays, but there is one sport-related trend that relies entirely on physical media and yet remains enormously popular: sports collectible cards.
The concept was born over a century ago in the USA with baseball cards, they were popularized in Europe through Italian soccer in the 1960s, and evolved into a worldwide craze in the 1970s.
The trend of course expanded also into basketball, and the younger generation of fans today is experiencing a revived passion for this tradition that seals their fandom in a physical, tangible way.
As always, when young fans ask for something, the Basketball Champions League listens!
So, starting today, basketball fans around Europe will be able to find their BCL collectible cards online at mythos.cards.
The BCL collectible cards will feature more than 320 players and 10 unique concepts. The Mythos Today feature will allow fans to immortalize their memories almost instantly, with the cards becoming available the morning after the game.
And here’s the knockout feature for the most passionate fans: The BCL collectible cards will include valuable memorabilia, such as patches and players’ signatures!
