Bills block party planned for East End in Rochester. Here’s what to know

Date:

A stretch of East Avenue ― from Alexander to Lawrence Streets – will be blocked off for a Bills block party from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27.

The Bills will take on the Seattle Seahawks at 4:05 p.m. The Bills game, as well as the 1 p.m. games, will be shown on two giant screens at either end of the event.

The event will include three food trucks, activities, games and local merchandise vendors. Beverage trucks will serve Three Heads Brewing and Bud Light. Local businesses including Locals Only, Fools Gold, Murphy’s Law, Filgers, Axes & Ales, and Recreo will also be open. Guests will be able to reenter to allow them to support other businesses outside of the event footprint.

Tickets are $3 in advance and $10 at the door; children 12 and under are free.

Enter the event at the intersection of East Avenue and Alexander Street or at East and Lawrence Street.

The event is hosted by and will benefit the The East & Alex Association, a Rochester-based nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the East Avenue and Alexander Street community. In addition, $1 for every ticket sold will be donated to Wilmot Cancer Institute; Tito’s Handmade Vodka will match the $1 donation.

In case of inclement weather, local bars and restaurants will be open to watch the game indoors.
