BYU continues to add to its staff as they officially announced Justin Young as the Men’s Basketball Director of Recruiting.
I’m fired up to officially join the BYU Men’s Basketball Coaching Staff as the Director of Recruiting. This is a unique opportunity to work with a world class staff at a world class school as we seek out world class athletes and people. Beyond excited to get to work! #PROvo https://t.co/ai9BBn1GaA

Justin is the older brother of BYU head coach Kevin Young and has been in the basketball grassroots and recruiting scene for over two decades. Kevin has developed a network of relationships at the grassroots level around the country and world that will be invaluable to BYU. Justin has been the national basketball editor for Rivals.com and was most recently the editor-in-chief of HoopSeen.com.
In addition to his relationships, Justin gives BYU someone that can focus 100% on recruiting. Justin will watch film and games of potential BYU prospects across the world — at the high school level, internationally, and even college games of potential transfer portal possibilities. BYU Basketball has never had a full-time director of recruiting, and Justin’s network and time to scout players around the world will give BYU an additional advantage they did not have before.
Justin has already been vital to his brother as he adjusts to the college level, helping him build out his staff and offering his advice and insight on college basketball recruiting. He is on campus for the huge official visit weekend.
