Fletcher announced on Friday morning that the Class of 2025 standout has committed to Navy, where he will play for former Penn State coach Ed DeChellis.

“I would like to announce I will be committing and continuing my athletic and academic career at the United States Naval Academy,” Fletcher said. “Thank you to Coach DeChellis, and the entire coaching staff for believing in me and giving me such a great opportunity.”

Fletcher is a 6-foot-4, 185-pound guard that is coming off an All-State season for the Rams, helping his team earn state playoff qualification while averaging 18.7 points per game. He also earned PennLive Big 15 honors in 2023-24 as well.

“First and foremost, I would like to thank my mom and dad for making sacrifices to help me be in the position I am in today, and helping me become the person I am,” Fletcher wrote on Twitter. “Next I would like to thank Coach Fletcher, Coach Peters, Coach Watson, and all my teammates from Central Dauphin for helping push me to my best every day and always supporting me.”

“Also, I would like to thank Coach Pat, Coach Seitz, Coach Rondale, Coach Kerry, and all my York Baller teammates for helping me along the recruitment process, and always pushing me to be 1% better every day. They brought me in and treated me like family the past 2 years, and I wouldn’t have wanted to play AAU with anyone else. I would also like to thank my trainer, Jon Breeden, and my shooting coach, Mike Dunn, because without them, I wouldn’t be the player that I have become.”

Navy had extended him an offer on Thursday. He had previously held offers from Kutztown, Clarion and Pitt-Johnstown.

He becomes the second big-name Mid-Penn athlete to commit to Navy in the last few years, joining former Steel-High quarterback and 2024 PennLive Boys Athlete of the Year Alex Erby in Annapolis.

“Thank you also to all my mentors, family members, and friends for always believing in me,” Fletcher wrote. “I am grateful for anyone who has helped me in any shape or form, because it has helped me become the person I am now as a whole, and I am extremely grateful for it.”
