We invite you to join us for a virtual community meeting to learn more about the Central Washington Initiative.

The Central Washington Initiative was announced in 2022 and is an all hands, all lands effort to implement the national Wildfire Crisis Strategy, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and Washington House Bill 1168 to promote resilient landscapes and resilient communities that are adapted to changing wildfire conditions.

Over the past two years, the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, Washington Department of Natural Resources, and our partners have been working together to reduce wildfire risks to communities and promote forest health and resilience across Central Washington.

During the July 30 call, we look forward to sharing more about the ongoing efforts, how the work is benefitting our response to fires this season, and resources to support private landowners.
