CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The owner of a Charlotte-based car dealership group is looking to sell one of his Quail Hollow homes – for a hefty price.
A home on Eagle Glen Way went on the market Monday for $7.9 million. It’s currently owned by Foxcroft Equity LLC, a company operated by Sonic Automotive CEO David B. Smith.

In November, Mecklenburg County property records show Foxcroft Equity purchased a home on the other side of the gated Quail Hollow community for $7.6 million. So, for the last 10 months, Smith has laid claim to a combined 24,000 square feet of houses on Charlotte’s most prestigious golf course.
According to county records, the Eagle Glen home is a 1-acre plot with a 13,500-square-foot house. Built in 1996, It has seven bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.
Foxcroft Equity purchased the home in 2022 for $6.2 million.

The listing comes after several record setting listings in Mecklenburg County. In June, an estate off Providence Road sold for $8.4 million, and NASCAR star Kevin Harvick is seeking $12.5 million for his property off Sardis Road.
