Concern for Barcelona: Star forward seen limping after recent international outing

Barcelona suffered a significant setback during Spain’s recent Nations League match against Denmark, as star forward Lamine Yamal left the pitch limping due to muscle overload.

This unfortunate event has cast doubt on his availability for Tuesday’s upcoming match against Serbia.

Yamal, who was once again a standout performer, took charge against Denmark. However, the game took a toll on him after facing multiple fouls from Danish players. After the match in Murcia, Yamal limped off, raising concerns about a possible injury.

Initial assessments at the stadium suggested a muscular problem in his left leg, which was described as an “overload” by sources from the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

He will undergo further evaluation by the federation’s medical team to determine the full extent of the issue and whether it is indeed an injury.

How did it happen?

Interestingly, Yamal was the last player to board the team bus after the match, attempting to avoid attention. Despite his efforts, some fans in the parking lot noticed him, seizing the moment to take photos with the players.

Observers noticed that Yamal wasn’t in the best shape, reinforcing concerns about his condition. While it initially seemed like a minor issue, the seriousness of the knock became clearer as the game progressed.

The incident occurred late in the match, with Danish players targeting Yamal. Two of them received yellow cards after their physical challenges on the Spanish forward.

Barcelona worried

Barcelona are understandably worried about Yamal’s workload this season. The young forward has become a crucial player under both Hansi Flick at Barcelona and Luis de la Fuente for the Spanish national team.

His high minutes on the pitch are now raising questions about whether the physical strain is catching up with him, potentially putting his long-term fitness at risk.

Further assessments will be key to understanding how serious this situation is and whether he will recover in time for the next match.
