During the annual Congressional Baseball Game at Nationals Park stadium in Washington DC on Wednesday (June 12), several protesters disrupted the event by storming onto the field. Capitol Police said on X that eight people who tried to protest on the field have been arrested and slapped with federal charges for interfering with members of Capitol Police.
Reports on X suggest that the group contained mostly climate change protestors, along with a few pro-Palestine protesters who unfurled a Palestinian flag amidst the commotion.
