Contiki has announced its biggest-ever Cyber Sale with over 1 month of Black Friday travel deals. Travellers can save up to 25 per cent on 145 trips worldwide, more variety than ever before.
The announcement follows a price reversal across 90 per cent of Europe trips, including bestsellers such as Greek Island Hopping, Italian Escape, Iceland Fire and Ice and several multi-country trips.
This combined offer, which comes at a time when most travel brands are increasing their prices, is designed to help young travellers embark on the trip of a lifetime for the best price – despite inflation.
In real terms, on the fan favourite ‘Italian Espresso’ trip, travellers can save up to $315 with the price reversal, which amounts to 194 espressos, and then up to a further $876 with the Cyber discount, which amounts to 135 scoops of gelato!
Lots of brand new and recently launched trips are featured in Cyber Sale 2024, including ‘Albania Beaches & Peaks’, ‘Paris to Rome by Train’, and ‘Ancient Wonders: Rome, Athens, Cairo’ across Europe & Africa, along with ‘Lima to Machu Picchu Road Trip’, ‘North America Glaciers & National Parks’ and ‘Real New Zealand’ too.
Also featured in the sale is the ‘Ultimate European’: Contiki’s longest Europe trip, which includes the option to visit either Egypt or the Greek islands as part of the itinerary. There are also several trips from the ‘Ultimate’ collection too, along with the popular ‘In a week’ range – perfect for travellers who are low on annual leave/PTO.
Black Friday has become a major cultural event in recent years, shaping consumer patterns across all sectors from retail and technology to furniture, travel & experiences and beyond.
18-35s from around the world continue to make it clear that when it comes to material goods vs experiences, they’re keen to prioritise the latter. With Gen-Z and Millennials being prepared to reduce other areas of their personal spending to prioritize travel. In Contiki’s recent ‘Voice of a Generation 2024’ survey, 77 per cent of the 5000+ participants (all aged 18-35) said they are currently (or have considered) living with their parents rent and mortgage-free to save money for travel.
