WEST BEND — Delta Defense, the service provider to the U.S. Concealed Carry Association (USCCA), announced on Tuesday that they have been named a Top 100 Most Loved Workplace by Best Practice Institute (BPI) and Newsweek magazine.

Delta Defense received the recognition due to their commitment to fostering a positive, employee-focused culture.

“At Delta Defense, our employees are our competitive advantage. Our success as a company reflects the dedication and passion of our incredible team members,” said Tim Schmidt, CEO of Delta Defense, in the release. “We’ve always believed that the strength of our organization lies in the people who make up our team. This recognition from Newsweek underscores our commitment to creating an environment where employees excel in their roles and find fulfillment in being part of a larger mission.”

According to the release, Delta Defense’s employees took part in a survey of over 2 million employees from businesses across the country, ranging in size from 50 to 100,000 employees (Delta Defense has over 600.) Delta Defense was the only self-defense company to make the Top 100 Most Loved Workplaces list, which seeks to recognize workplaces where employees feel respected, inspired and appreciated.

“Over the past decade, Delta Defense has worked to cultivate a workplace emphasizing employees’ holistic well-being,” said the release. “This includes comprehensive benefits offerings, professional growth opportunities, and flexible work arrangements.”

Amongst those benefits are the company’s unique offering of two in-house licensed mental health therapists for employees at no cost, something Delta Defense has done to help remove societal stigmas around mental health.

“In addition, the organization is deeply rooted in its core values, including a focus on employees living the 5Hs — honest, humble, happy, hungry, and healthy,” said the release. “Delta Defense sees the core values as the foundation behind its award-winning culture and recognizes employees who embody them during its weekly all-company meeting.”

According to the release, Delta Defense’s practices and investments in their employees have created a motivated and dedicated team of employees.

“As Delta Defense continues to pace for continued year-over-year growth, it remains committed to preserving the exceptional workplace culture that earned this prestigious recognition,” said the release.
