Russell Wilson kind of back to that conversation.

How does he fit in Arthur Smith’s offense because I think Smith has done, everybody hates Arthur Smith, but I think he’s done a pretty good job leaning into what Justin Fields does.

Well, that’s just a pretty limited menu.

The problem is it’s also a limited and rather similar menu with Russell Wilson.

Um, and there’s not a lot of playmakers here to speak of, you know, George Pickens is the number one receiver and he’s right after I start saying like, oh man, he’s playing the best football of his career.

He starts packing it in from an effort perspective and can’t make contested catches anymore.

So, um, yeah, I don’t, again, I don’t really know if this moves the needle for the Steelers one way or another.

That’s, that’s where I’m at.

Uh, they fields and, and, uh, Wilson are very similar in their qual and some strengths and some weaknesses too.

And that’s why, you know, Russ is a more accurate and I, I want to see some stuff of creation because that’s what fields has been doing really well.

Uh He’s been throwing left really well and also just like you, you mentioned the Arthur Smith designs, his rushing touchdown was, it was great design.

It was a true naked keeper, uh which is just, there was no pass routes on it and it was just a fake toss that, I mean, I, I love the design.

It looked like 1/6 grade offense where you just fake the toss and have the quarterback keep it, but it’s great because fields could actually win on that.

And that’s where my argument always was where if these guys have the same qualities and some, the same negatives, I’d rather have the guy that’s younger, bigger and maybe and more explosive at this, you know, stage of his career.

So I, I’d like to see it how Wilson looks, but it’s just, yeah, I don’t know, it doesn’t really fire me up in any way, shape or form.

I was kind of just more curious about how the fields experiment kept evolving and I wanted to see like maybe the added layers maybe had more confidence.

The pass game is still a bit iffy, but it’s not like the pass catchers or anything, right?

You know, a lot of Calvin Austin law, Van Jefferson, Scotty Miller iffy guys.

So, yeah, just kind of a shrug at this, but we’ll see.

Uh, I, I do think there are signs of decency but who knows with the Steelers team, like you said, they’re going to be in the playoffs probably so who cares, playing quarterback.

I mean, that is just what they do apparently.

Uh, but we, I know.

Right.

Uh, Tom, one man, he’s, he’s good at his job.
