The Florida A&M Rattlers men’s basketball team is set to embark on an exciting 2024-25 season, featuring a competitive slate of games against both high major non-conference opponents and SWAC rivals.

“Our schedule is as tough as they come,” said head coach Patrick Crarey II. “We’re front-loaded with buy games in November and December to help the athletic department; these games will be a unique experience for our players to play against high major college basketball programs, and it will prepare us for SWAC conference play. The SWAC is loaded this year; we look forward to growing together all season and performing at our highest level in conference play.”

The season tips off on November 4, 2024, with the Rattlers traveling to Texas to take on TCU, followed by another challenging road game against SMU on November 7. The team will continue its early road campaign with a marquee matchup against Maryland on November 11 before heading to Gainesville to face in-state foe, the University of Florida, on November 19.

The Rattlers return to the Al Lawson Center for their home opener on November 22 against Trinity Baptist. This game marks the beginning of an exciting home schedule that will see the Rattlers hosting several key contests throughout the season.

Highlights of the non-conference schedule include games against Bethune-Cookman in the first game of 2025 on January 4 in Tallahassee and finishing the season against the Wildcats in Daytona Beach on March 8. The Rattlers will also have home and home games with Southern, Grambling, Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Alcorn State, and Jackson State.

The Rattlers host Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Mississippi Valley State while traveling to Prairie View A&M and Texas Southern.
