Former Buffalo Sabres forward Tyson Jost has been placed on waivers by the Carolina Hurricanes.

Jost, 26, signed a one-year, $775,000 contract with the Hurricanes this off-season. This officially marked the end of his tenure with the Sabres. The St. Albert, Alberta native was fighting for a spot in the Hurricanes’ bottom six, but he has now been placed on waivers instead.
Jost appeared in 43 games last season with the Sabres, posting three goals, three assists, and a minus-11 rating. He also played in 25 games with the Rochester Americans in 2023-24, recording four goals and 14 points.
In 102 games over two seasons with the Sabres, Jost had 10 goals and 28 points.
