McLeod, 26 years old, was charged with sexual assault along with former NHLers Alex Formenton Carter Hart, Dillon Dube, and Cal Foote.

Due to the charges, the Devils walked away from McLeod at the end of the 2023-24 season.

McLeod signed with Barys Astana back in August, and less than three months later was released. Any interested team can now sign him as a free agent. However, that won’t include NHL players, given the nature of the charges and lawsuit that is ongoing.

McLeod played in 287 NHL games, all with the Devils, and scored 85 points.
