Giants’ Malik Nabers suffers concussion, leaves loss to Cowboys

Date:

Thursday’s 20-15 defeat against the Dallas Cowboys wasn’t the Giants‘ only Week 4 loss. Rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers left the game with 3:30 left in the fourth quarter due to a concussion.

“I’m going to see him right after this,” said Brian Daboll, when asked if he saw how Nabers got injured. “I was going to stop in. He’s meeting with the doctors. … I’ll see him right after.”

The injury appeared to come during a fourth-and-6 at the Giants’ 45-yard line, where quarterback Daniel Jones‘ pass for Nabers along the left sideline fell incomplete for a turnover on downs.

Trevon Diggs broke up the pass intended for Nabers, who appeared to fall head first. Nabers was helped to the medical tent before heading to the locker room.

“I thought he did a great job of keeping his feet inbounds and it was a perfect throw and, as he was going to the ground, the ball kind of got jarred out there,” Daboll said.

Nabers caught 12 passes on 15 targets for 115 yards and a long of 35. Through four games, the 2024 NFL Draft’s No. 6 overall pick has 35 receptions for 386 yards and three touchdowns.
