How to watch 2024 U.S. Open tennis women’s semifinals on Thursday, Sept. 5

American tennis is having a moment.

For the first time since 2003, the U.S. has four different singles players in the semifinals of the singles draws at the U.S. Open.

Coincidentally (or not) that was also the last time an American man, Andy Roddick, won a major singles title.

Thursday brings the women’s semifinals, featuring No. 13 Emma Navarro and No. 6 Jessica Pegula.

Unlike on the men’s side, the two American women do not have to play against each other in the semifinals.

Navarro has the tougher of the two matchups and will play against No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka, the prohibitive favorite to win the tournament.

Pegula meanwhile will face off against unseeded Karolina Muchova, whom she beat earlier this summer in a three-set match in Cincinnati.

Both semifinals take place on Thursday evening, and here’s how to watch:

How to watch US Open women’s semifinals

When is Emma Navarro vs. Aryna Sabalenka?

Navarro and Sabalenka are the first semifinal of the night, scheduled to kickoff Thursday’s coverage of Primetime at the U.S. Open. The two will take the court at 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.

When is Jessica Pegula vs. Karolina Muchova?

Pegula and Muchova are the second match of the evening, and will begin their match not before 8:15 p.m. and shortly after the conclusion of the first semifinal. This match will also be shown in its entirety on ESPN.
