Inter Milan Talismanic Skipper Underlines Nerazzurri Ambitions For This Season: “We Want To Win Everything”

Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez underlined the Serie A champions’ lofty ambitions following a significant win against Arsenal.

During his post-game chat with Sky Sports via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri talisman admitted they want to win everything this season.

Simone Inzaghi’s men are back on track following a stuttering start to their Scudetto defense.

Hakan Calhanoglu was safe from the spot to inspire Inter to a confidence-boosting 1-0 UEFA Champions League triumph against Arsenal.

It was Inter’s eighth victory in their last eight games in all competitions.

The only blemish on this near-perfect run was a gut-wrenching Derby d’Italia draw against Juventus.

However, it takes nothing away from Inter’s resurgence.

“The most beautiful thing about this match is first of all the three points,” Lautaro Martinez said after tonight’s win.

“The fight we did because these are important matches for the competition, for the standings.

“We have ten points and this is important.

“We didn’t concede goals and this is another important aspect because in the league we’ve conceded many.

“It means that we are working well and are aware that this competition is made of details.

“We must continue like this and try to do more every day.”

“You know us. We want everything,” Martinez said when asked whether Inter pursue Champions League glory. ,”

“Because this club, history says, can do it. Since I arrived, I’ve always said: I want to win everything, league, Champions, Coppa Italia.”

Martinez couldn’t help but takl about the Ballon d’Or rankings.

“Yes, yes. Now I think about continuing to do my best and keep growing in physical and football form.

“I’m doing better because the more I play, the better I get. The coach knows that, but then he rightly makes his choices.

“I’m happy that we are growing, even if we’re having some small difficulties in the league because we concede too many goals.

“When we have the ball, we play like we planned, but we need to grow in other aspects.”

Martinez will lead the line when Inter take on Napoli next weekend.

“We face a strong team, even though they lost the last game. It’s a strong team with a coach who we know, but we have our ideas.

“We need to recover energy, first of all, because today we spent a lot.

“Now we think about Sunday’s game which will be as difficult as today.”
