ROSEMONT, Ill — Iowa men’s basketball was picked to finish 11th in the Big Ten and Payton Sandfort was named First-team All-Big Ten by a preseason media poll, which was released Wednesday.
The media panel, organized by The Columbus Dispatch and The Indianapolis Star, is comprised of 33 participants.
Purdue was picked to win the Big Ten.

Iowa’s Payton Sandfort was the second-highest vote-getter, behind only Braden Smith of Purdue.
Reigning Big Ten Co-Freshman of the Year Owen Freeman received two votes but didn’t make preseason first or second-team All-Big Ten.
