According to a report by Fabrizio Romano, Juventus and Paul Pogba (31) are close to agreeing on the terms for a contract termination. Talks between the Italian club and Pogba will resume tomorrow after the verdict from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has been confirmed.
CAS are set to officially announce their decision to reduce the former World Cup winner’s ban from football from four years to 18 months after he was found guilty in February for testing positive for a banned substance following a match against Udinese in August 2023.
The midfielder is set to return to football in January 2025 and would be allowed to train with Juventus. However, despite the success of Pogba’s appeal, it is being reported that his comeback will not be with the Italian side. Both player and club are keen on a fresh start.
There have been links with a move to the MLS with the league experiencing a wave of French talent arriving on their shores.
